The program was designed for Ukrainian mental health providers who would like to learn about the Interpersonal and Relational psychoanalytic psychotherapy. In order to strengthen the participants’ clinical skills, the curriculum includes both theoretical seminars and clinical case discussions.
Who Is It For
Participants are expected to have competed professional training in psychology and at least two years of post graduation clinical experience with adult patients.
Curriculum
The seminars will focus on Interpersonal and Relational theory and practice: the two-person approach to understanding transference, countertransference, and therapeutic action; the role of trauma, dissociation, mutual regulation, and enactments in the analytic process; contemporary approaches to working with disasters and war trauma.
Length & Expenses
The participants will meet for three hours each Wednesday, for the total of 28 sessions, from September through May. Tuition is $1,200, payable in four installments of $300 on August 1, November 1, January 1, March 1.
