Our Faculty

Many scholars and mental health professionals are drawn to the William Alanson White Institute’s educational programs because of the sense of community that begins in training and continues long after graduation. In recognition of the influence of psychoanalytic training in the professional and personal lives of Institute graduates, many of our psychoanalysts and graduates of our other programs continue to remain actively involved with the Institute in numerous capacities. Among other contributions, graduates serve as members of the faculty, as supervisors or as psychoanalysts to the current candidates.

    The Training Analysts listed below are qualified to conduct candidates’ personal psychoanalyses. A Training Analyst may have only one candidate per class in analysis and a total of three candidates in analysis at any given time. In their role as Supervising Analysts, they are available to supervise candidates’ psychoanalytic work. A Supervising Analyst may only have one first-year candidate in supervision and no more than three supervisees at any time.
